A 10,580-square-foot residence on 1.6 acres with pool and tennis at the eastern end of Southampton Village recently sold for $9.65 million, just shy of the listing price.

At 82 Pheasant Close North, the traditional home was built in 2014. The street has no through traffic, and the property is across from a park. According to the listing, the home has rented for $700,000 for a summer and $1 million for a year.

A double-wide foyer opens to a two-story living room with a 22-foot wall of glass and retractable NanaWall doors. The formal dining area, eat-in kitchen and two or three family rooms flow together.

There are seven large bedrooms throughout the house with the option to convert a space into a first-floor junior master.

The “million-dollar lower level” offers a spa, sauna, steam room, showers, changing room, gym, 12-seat theater, wine cellar, two guest bedrooms and two full bathrooms.

Also among the home’s amenities are two laundries, smart home technology and solar energy.

Outdoors, the grounds are spotted with privacy trees and feature a $250,000 infinity-edge pool, an infinity-edge hot tub and a tennis court.

The last asking price was $9.9 million. Frank and Dawn Bodenchak of Sotheby’s International Realty had the listing.

The deal closed on October 21, 2020, according to The Real Estate Report Inc. The sellers were Victoria and Alfred Shtainer, who had purchased the property in 2013 for $2.63 million, and the new owner is Pheasant Close Partners 1 LLC.
