A Sagaponack Village traditional with pool and tennis sold late last year for $10.75 million, just $250,000 shy of its asking price.

The official address is 565 Daniels Lane, but the 1.6-acre property actually fronts the private road Pheasants Crossing and backs up to Potato Road and a large preserve.

The gabled residence is far south of Montauk Highway and has ocean views. It offers 7,123 square feet of living space and was renovated in 2011.

The open living areas flow into each other, including a living room with a fireplace and a wall of French doors that lead to a columned rear porch, a family room with French doors and a wood-burning fireplace, and an eat-in kitchen with white cabinetry and a newly installed white quartz island with seating.

The kitchen is further outfitted with high-end stainless steel appliances, including a Viking professional six-burner range and microwave and a paneled Sub-Zero refrigerator. The breakfast area overlooks the rear grounds. Toward the front of the house is a formal dining room, and there is a first-floor en-suite bedroom with French doors to the grounds.

The master suite is upstairs with a private terrace, a walk-in closet and a white bathroom with dark wood flooring, a frameless glass-enclosed marble shower with a bench, a Victoria + Albert soaking tub, a double marble-top vanity and a private water closet. Additional upper floor bedrooms are all en-suite, and two additional half-baths, a playroom and an office complete the floor.

The lower level is finished and includes a temperature and humidity-controlled wine cellar, a gym and recreation area, a large open space ready to be put to use, and plenty of storage.

The grounds have four boxwood parterres, a playground and an outdoor shower. The pool is 20 feet by 50 feet, heated, and is accompanied by a spa and pergola. The tennis court is sunken.

The home also comes with the peace of mind of a backup generator.

According to The Real Estate Report Inc., the sale closed on December 18, 2020. The identities of both buyer and seller are shielded by limited liability companies. Associate broker Nancy Mizrahi of Saunders had the listing.
