Accessibility and versatility — those are the driving forces behind a new collaboration between global luxury lifestyle brand Aerin and Generation Lighting.

Aerin is inspired by the personal style of Aerin Lauder, the founder and creative director at Aerin as well as the style and image director at Estée Lauder. She is the granddaughter of cosmetics company founder Estée Lauder and a part-time East Hampton resident.

The Aerin for Generation Lighting collection will feature five families of lights that share the guiding principles of the Aerin brand, which frequently collaborates with other brands in the beauty, fashion and home decor industries. Ms. Lauder shared her thoughts on the collaboration in an email interview recently.

“Every Aerin collection is created to make life more beautiful, with a sense of ease and refinement,” she said. “We chose to partner with Generation Lighting to support that mission, while making elevated interiors and beautiful design more accessible for all.”

While Aerin exists in the luxury space, Ms. Lauder said that creating accessible collaborations is part of her goal.

“In my opinion, luxury does not necessarily have to mean expensive,” she said. “Luxury is anything that feels special, which is why I was so excited to work on this assortment with Generation Lighting. These pieces have the same effortlessly elegant touch that aligns with the Aerin brand, but at a price point that is more widely attainable.”

Ms. Lauder describes her company’s style as “classic, but always with a modern point of view” and said the pieces in the collection channel a more traditional, midcentury style but with a modern twist.

Putting energy into collaborations that focus on the home is something Ms. Lauder said has been particularly important to the brand recently.

“Now more than ever, we are realizing the desire to cultivate comfort and beauty in the home,” she said. “We created pieces that help you make the most of every moment, whether you’re taking some time for yourself, spending time with family or hosting an intimate gathering of close friends. I always say that the right piece of lighting can completely transform a space and create a mood that is warm and welcoming.”

The collection includes chandeliers, pendants, sconces, floor lamps and table lamps. Ms. Lauder says that “no matter the room or style,” there is a piece in the collection that provides the right kind of touch.

Prices range from $119 for a vanity light to $299 for a table lamp and up to $799 for a chandelier.

Ms. Lauder is proud of the collection and believes it has something for everyone.

“Whether you’re decorating a family home or your very first apartment, beautifully designed lighting should be accessible,” she said. “I felt strongly about offering a collection that was versatile and affordable without compromising style, relevance, and aesthetics. No matter who you are, home should be a place that is inviting, comforting, cozy and special to you. For me, lighting has always played a huge role in that vision and I wanted to share that with as many people as possible.”
