Fans of HBO’s “Succession” will instantly recognize what is poised to be one of the top 10 sales on the East End last year.

Tucked behind a gated entrance, the eye-catching modern estate at 115 Beach Lane in Wainscott — which appeared in the most recent season of the award-winning drama — sold for $45 million on November 30, according to The Real Estate Report Inc. Bespoke Real Estate represented both the buyer and seller, who traded under LLCs.

Designed by Barnes Coy Architects, the six-bedroom, 10-bath home — which sprawls across 11,000 square feet on 2.55 acres of land, bordered by vacant farm fields and 230 feet of oceanfront — features inverted rooflines and an unorthodox, geometric pavilion-style layout that uses passageways and floating staircases to connect its four floors, all serviced by an elevator.

The ground level foyer leads to the central pavilion, where an inverted pyramid ceiling “sheathed in teak dips dramatically from the roofline into the great room opposite a 22-foot wall of glass that opens to the pool deck, flooding the room with light,” according to the listing.

An open floor plan features a custom Bulthaup kitchen with Gaggenau appliances against a striking black-and-white marble backsplash, looking out to the dining and living spaces, a stone hearth and sleek gas fireplace, the listing said.

The master wing, which anchors the eastern pavilion, boasts ocean views, vaulted ceilings and a wall of glass, as well as dual bathrooms with heated floors, glass-enclosed showers and a soaking tub. A large den leads to the pool deck — featuring a custom heated infinity pool and spa with a Lautner edge — and a private path to the beach. Beneath the east pavilion is a gym and spa, steam room and a four-car garage.

Designed to maximize space, the western pavilion’s upper level is home to a cabana bathroom with outdoor access, a recreation room with a wet bar and custom built-ins, and two en-suite bedrooms with floor-to-ceiling windows. Three more en-suite bedrooms are located on the mezzanine level, and just down the hall from two staff en-suites and a yoga room on the ground level, the media room features a golf simulator and potential for a screening room.

The sweeping residence, which was built in 2018 and first hit the market for $52 million in 2020, is one of just seven oceanfront homes in Wainscott, according to the listing. Using materials like stucco, teak, granite and the salt-resistant Kemper zinc roof, the home is built to weather the elements “with grace,” the listing said.

Tips for Avoiding Rental Scams
