Family Counseling Services to sponsor artist studio tour

author on Aug 18, 2009

Family Counseling Services will sponsor an artist studio tour in the greater Westhampton area on Saturday, August 22, and Sunday, August 23, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The self-guided tour will give art enthusiasts a unique opportunity to enter into the behind-the-scenes workings of the art world.

Co-chaired by local artists Candyce Brokaw, Pamela Gates Capozzola and Ronnie Wiener, the tour will include 18 private studios and galleries, displaying the work of 37 East End artists.

An opening reception will be held Friday, August 21, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Full Moon Arts Center on Moriches Avenue in East Moriches.

Established in 1971, Family Counseling Services serves the eastern Long Island community by providing counseling, education, and support services to families, children and individuals in need. All proceeds from the studio tour will directly support agency programs and services.

Tickets to the tour are $35 each; call 288-1954, ext. 241. For more information about Family Counseling Services, visit www.familycounselingsvc.org.
