Multi-instrumentalist Jordan Shapiro has been performing in various styles of music for over 20 years. On Wednesday, August 7, Montauk Library presents Jordan Shapiro's International Express Trio performing “A Multi-Cultural Bonanza” at 7 p.m.

Classically trained on piano since age 5, Mr. Shapiro has performed on keyboards in many different ensembles, including touring for many years in a Zappa tribute band featuring former Zappa vocalists.

In addition to Mr. Shapiro, who plays piano, accordion, mandolin, guitar and sings, the trio includes Tim Kia on upright bass and vocals, and percussionist Phil Kester. Their concert at the library will include music from around the globe, including the Balkans, France, Italy, Germany, British Isles, Brazil, the Middle East, and American styles such as Louisiana/Cajun and Appalachian mountain music.

Montauk Library is at 871 Montauk Highway. The concert is free and open to the public. Visit montauklibrary.org for details.
