On Saturday, October 14, at 2 p.m., Alexis McGill Johnson, the dynamic president and CEO of Planned Parenthood, joins podcast host Emily Tisch Sussman at The Church for this month’s live recording of “She Pivots.” “She Pivots” is a podcast dedicated to discussions with powerhouse women and the pivots they’ve made to reach success, and Sussman returns to The Church to record after doing the same earlier this year.

For over a decade, Johnson has been a part of Planned Parenthood’s leadership. Through a network of 49 affiliates, Planned Parenthood health centers provide vital health care to more than two million people each year at nearly 600 health centers across the country.

Johnson’s tireless work fighting for health equity and reproductive freedom reaches beyond Planned Parenthood as well. Join Sussman in a dialogue with a longstanding champion for social and racial justice, whose career has included academia, political organizing and mind science research. Hear about the pivotal moments she has encountered in her professional journey.

Emily Tisch Sussman is a podcast host, women’s empowerment and family policy advocate, leading democratic political strategist, contributing editor to Marie Claire and mother of three. As host of the award-winning podcast “She Pivots,” Sussman has interviewed some of the most successful women to learn how their personal lives have impacted their careers. From Vice President Kamala Harris, to Olympian Allyson Felix, to actress Brook Shields, to Holocaust survivor and author Dr. Edith Eger, “She Pivots” is shifting the narrative for women to talk openly about the deeply personal moments of their lives.

Tickets to attend the live recording of “She Pivots” are $20 ($18 members) at thechurchsagharbor.org. The Church is at 48 Madison Street in Sag Harbor.
