Sticks and Stones Comedy Club at Southampton Cultural Center, is looking forward to its fall, winter and spring slate of shows filled with comedy talent and surprise guest stars. The doors for all shows open an hour before the performance so guests can mingle in SCC’s art gallery and enjoy drinks and nibbles in a social and festive environment. Besides national headlining comedians, expect occasional special event programming, such as musical concerts, films and kids events.

Coming up on Wednesday, October 18, Sticks and Stones Comedy Club will present a special music event with Colorado-based singer-songwriter Edie Carey, who will lead songwriting workshops at SCC during the day and perform an evening concert for all ages in the theater. Carey will lead a lunch hour adult songwriting workshop from 12:30 to 2 p.m. followed from 4 to 5 p.m. by an after school kids and teens songwriting workshop. Carey’s performance will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the SCC theater. Tickets are $34 for the adult workshop, $24 for the kids and teens workshop. Tickets for the performance are $35 ($50 reserved, $70 VIP and $18 for ages 7 to 14).

Known for her unmistakable, soulful voice, her intelligent, heart-grabbing songs, but perhaps most especially for her warm, engaging presence both on and off stage, Edie Carey’s wry humor makes audiences feel as though they have just spent an evening with a very close friend. Carey has been performing since 1999, singing alongside Sara Bareilles and Brandi Carlile and appearing on PRI’s syndicated “Mountain Stage” as well as Cayamo, Telluride Bluegrass, and Newport Folk Festivals. Her lullabies project with Sarah Sample won Best Children’s Album in the 2015 Independent Music Awards, and she was a featured vocalist along with Lisa Loeb on the 2020 Grammy-Winning ensemble “All the Ladies.” Americana Highways called her 2022 release “The Veil” “one of the best of the year.”

On Friday, October 20, at 7 p.m. comedians Tony Deyo and Michael Regilio perform at Sticks and Stones Comedy Club. Tickets for the performance are $35 ($50 reserved, $70 VIP).

Deyo is a stand-up comedian known most notably for his sharp, quick material and near perfect comedic timing almost certainly gained from his years as a professional symphony musician. In 2013, he made his late-night television debut on “Conan.” Within a year, he had added appearances on “The Late Late Show” with Craig Ferguson, AXS TV’s “Gotham Comedy Live” and “Comics Unleashed” with Byron Allen. His album, “Comedy Road Trip,” landed on the Billboard Magazine comedy chart and debuted as the #1 selling stand-up album on iTunes. He recently appeared on Jeff Foxworthy’s podcast, “A Comic Mind,” was named one of the year’s best by the New York Post, and can be heard regularly on SiriusXM Satellite Radio.

Regilio is a stand-up comedian, actor and musician. Born in San Jose, California and raised in Downers Grove, Illinois and Marblehead, Massachusetts, Regilio began his career by touring with bands, The Green and Yellow TV, Useless Keys and Dark Matters as the guitarist and with Great Northern as bassist. He currently plays guitar in the comedy supergroup band, Sorry About Everything, with comedy writer Dino Stamatopoulos and bassist Io Perry. Regilio is a touring stand-up comedian with recurring spots at The Improv, The Comedy Store, Gotham Comedy Club and The Comedy Cellar.

Additional Sticks and Stones Comedy Club shows will take place on Thursday, October 26, Friday and Saturday, November 3 and 4, Friday, November 17 and Friday, December 1. Also coming up on Saturday, December 2, will be a special holiday concert with multi-talented Kim Kalesti.
