Arthur J. Rossi
Arthur J. Rossi of Oldsmar, Florida. and East Hampton died on Thursday, July 21. He was 90.
Born September 29, 1920, to Bartholomew and Margaret Rossi (née Ochelli), he enlisted in the U.S. Navy during World War II and served to its end.
After his return, he attended Notre Dame University, Iowa State University and Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn. He became a mechanical and nuclear engineer, and became vice president at Ebasco Services, which is now defunct.
He was involved in the American Legion and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.
He is survived by his wife, Ann E. Rossi; children, Bart Rossi of New Jersey and Jacquelyn Donlon of Massachusetts; brother, Edward Rossi, and brother-in-law, John Intravia, both of East Hampton; and six grandchildren, Jenna, Renee, Lisa, Michael, Danielle and Vincent. He was predeceased by his daughter, Diane DeAngelis, and his sister, Louise Intravia.
A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, July 23, at the Most Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church in East Hampton. The service was attended by two servicemen. Interment followed at Pinelawn Cemetery in Farmingdale.
