Michael P. Hayes died on July 4 at his East Hampton home, where he had lived for more than 20 years. He was 56.
Born February 9, 1953, in Connecticut to John Hayes and Pauline (née Bell) Hayes, he was a printer.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret (née Bernard) Hayes of East Hampton; his mother, Pauline Hayes; a son, Michael R. Hayes of East Hampton; a daughter, Sarah Hayes of North Carolina; a brother, Mark Hayes of Connecticut; three sisters, Andrea Carrozzella, Lori Hollings and Zoe LeBrun, all of Connecticut; and many nieces and nephews. His father, John Hayes, predeceased him.
Funeral services were held on July 6 at Yardley & Pino Funeral Home in East Hampton. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Springs Improvement Society, P.O. Box 537, East Hampton, NY 11937, or the Greater East Hampton Educational Foundation Inc., P.O. Box 4175, East Hampton, NY 11937 would be appreciated by the family.
