For the 120th consecutive year, the Ladies Village Improvement Society of East Hampton will host its annual Summer Fair. The fair will take place Saturday, starting at 10 a.m.
Held each year on the grounds of LVIS on Main Street in East Hampton, the fair features live music, a carousel, arts and crafts, and booths offering exciting items, including everything from jewelry to Christmas ornaments. At 11 a.m. and noon, kids can enjoy a magic show from Magic Jeff the Magician, and later on meet the Big Apple Circus Clown.
One of the fair’s main attractions, The Playland, includes pony rides, train rides, face painting, slides, games, the Petting Zoo and more.
A silent auction with one-of-a-kind and vintage items will be held throughout the day, in addition to a Chinese auction with raffle tickets and fun low-priced items.
Starting at 2 p.m., patrons of the fair can enjoy a clam bar. The ceremonial chicken barbecue, organized each year by the Lions Club of East Hampton, will begin at 3 p.m.. Guests can enjoy delicious food and drinks while enjoying the festive sounds of live music from Mamalee, Rose & Friends, who will be performing at the fair from 4 to 6 p.m.
Proceeds from the fair and silent auction help fund LVIS programs such as landmark preservation and trail maintenance, while helping to fund scholarship opportunities as well.
Admission to the fair is free, with tickets available for the carousel and playland. Parking for fair attendees can be found in the Reutershan Parking Lot next to the fairgrounds, or at the long-term parking lot behind Herrick Park.
