More than 50 antiques and art dealers will be on hand to sell their wares at the 13th annual East Hampton Antiques & Design Show this weekend at Mulford Farm.
Simon Doonan and Jonathan Adler are the honorary co-chairpersons of this year’s sale, which benefits the East Hampton Historical Society. Mr. Doonan is the creative ambassador-at-large for Barneys New York and a window dresser and fashion commentator. His husband, Mr. Adler, is a renowned potter and designer.
“The East Hampton Antiques & Design Show is the best place in the world to shop for all the design treasures you need (and the design treasures you didn’t even know you need),” Mr. Adler said in a press release. “Come for the design, stay for the magical setting, and support the East Hampton Historical Society at the same time.”
“The East Hampton Antiques & Design show has gorgeous stuff and even more gorgeous people attending,” Mr. Doonan added. “Yes, I am definitely referring to myself and my husband Jonathan Adler. He’s the ‘design’ bit and I am the ‘antique.’”
The show offers furniture and decorative items for the home and garden, plus artwork and period jewelery.
The opening night preview cocktail party is Friday, July 19, between 6 and 8:30 p.m. Tickets are $175—or $100 for “junior tickets” for guests age 40 and younger—and include return visits over the weekend.
Then on Saturday between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. and Sunday between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m., admission is $10. An early buying hour is offered Saturday at 9 a.m. for $20 admission.
The site of the sale, Mulford Farm at 10 James Lane, is a 3.5-acre property with a restored 17th century farmhouse and several barns and outbuildings that are among the oldest on Long Island.
