Discos, by their nature, aren’t particularly quiet establishments. But on Saturday, August 10, from 8 to 11 p.m., the Southampton Arts Center offers a free “Silent Disco Outdoor Dance Party” on the west lawn. Two DJs will be spinning ’70s hits and today’s hottest dance music — or you can tune in to a third channel for the best of the ’80s playlist. Rest assured, there will be something for everyone to get their groove on. Each participant will get a pair of headphones to keep the music to themselves. The dance moves, however, will be on full display for all the world to see.

Southampton Arts Center is at 25 Jobs Lane, Southampton. Visit southamptonartscenter.org for details.
