What is widely reported to be Renee Zellweger’s East Hampton home is on the market for $4.45 million.
Everyone’s been yakking about the actress’s new face, but let’s talk about the listing.
Douglas Elliman calls the property an “irreplaceable combination of old with new”—a gated, renovated, light-filled 2,000-square-foot farmhouse on almost 1 acre, with a garage with an overhead loft, and a pool. The property is within walking distance of the ocean.
The house last changed hands in 2003 for $2.15 million, according to www.propertyshark.com. When it did, however, the buyer was Bruce Weber, the celebrity photographer, whose name is also on file at the East Hampton Town assessor’s office as the current property owner.
“The actor hid her ownership of 30 Egypt Lane in East Hampton by filing documents stating her famed photographer pal Bruce Weber was the owner when he is not,” fumed an October 29 New York Post article.
