Candice Lee Nelson Of Southampton Dies December 14

Candice Lee Nelson of Southampton died December 14. She was 49.

Ms. Nelson was born November 25, 1971 to Elaine Berkoski and the late Lewis A. Blydenburgh Jr.

Her accomplishments were blue ribbons in Sagaponack horse shows. She was a flutist, and won awards in NYSSMA while in high school. In her spare time, she loved going to the beach, spending time with her sons, clamming, crabbing and crocheting.

Ms. Nelson was predeceased by her father Lewis A Blydenburgh Jr.; and her late husband Jeffrey Nelson. She is survived by her mother Elaine Berkoski; sons Scott and Michael Nelson; and brother Lewis Blydenburgh, all of Riverhead; and best friend Stacy Yamka of Southampton.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Spirit’s Promise Equine Rescue, 2746 Sound Ave, Riverhead NY 11901.
