Kong Wu died at home in Remsenburg after a brief illness on April 1. He was 90.
Born in Shanghai, China, he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul C. Wu. His father was the commissioner of Chinese maritime customs service in Nanjing. He graduated from St. John’s Middle School in Shanghai. He attended the University of Chicago and graduated from the Chicago School of Fine Arts. A commercial artist, he lived and worked in Chicago for many years. He was an advertising art director at BBD & O Inc. (now Omnicom International) in Manhattan from 1962 until his retirement.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; and family members in Shanghai, the United States and Australia.
A private service was held at Follett & Werner Funeral Home in Westhampton Beach on April 6, followed by burial at the Remsenburg Cemetery.
