George Stephanopoulos of ABC’s “Good Morning America” and his wife, the actress and author Ali Wentworth, have put their Southampton home back on the market. After two years of not selling, the new price tag is $5,995,000, a full $1 million reduction from the original ask.

Maybe that is all that is needed to move the property, because the manse at 5 Cameron Way—which the couple purchased in 2013 for $4.5 million—seems like a winner. Built 15 years ago, the 4,800-square-foot home on 1.47 acres has 5 bedrooms and 6.5 baths on an acre and a half of gated and hedged land located in the village. Features and amenities include a private library in the master suite, coffered ceilings in the living room, a marble center island and dual refrigerators in the kitchen, a wet bar, a 1,000-bottle wine cellar, a gym, and a guest room with four built-in bunks in the finished lower level. For those who value the great outdoors, the Southampton property boasts a covered veranda that extends the length of the house, a sunken all-weather tennis court, and an in-ground pool.

For Mr. Stephanopoulos, his first appearance on the mass media map was as a prominent member of Bill Clinton’s successful presidential campaign in 1992, then being the administration’s first communications director. By the time he entered the television game, Ms. Wentworth—the couple married in 2001—was already in it, appearing on such comedies as “Felicity” and “In Living Color,” and on the famous “Seinfeld” episode titled “Soup Nazi,” she played Jerry’s girlfriend. Nowadays, Mr. Stephanopoulos is also host of the ABC program “The Week,” and Ms. Wentworth’s most recent book is “Happily Ali After: And Other Fairly True Tales.”
