Truman Capote’s longtime former compound in Sagaponack, which is now home to the Ab-Ex painter Ross Bleckner, is on the market for $15 million.
At 683 Daniel’s Lane, the 4-acre property is said to be where Mr. Capote was living when he finished writing “In Cold Blood,” according to Curbed Hamptons.
A Sotheby’s listing describes the property as romantic, serene and sexy, within hearing distance of the ocean, and with “ravishing” landscaping, as well as good prospects for repositioning or expanding the existing four buildings, which include a modern-style main house and a two-bedroom guest house.
Mr. Bleckner reportedly bought the house from The Nature Conservancy for $800,000 in 1993 and restored and enlarged it extensively, also adding a pool and studio.
