A modern estate in Southampton Village that was completed last year recently sold for $18 million, just $1 million shy of its asking price, according to The Real Estate Report Inc.

Three separate structures — a main house, a pool house and a guest house — on 1.9 acres total 9,100 square feet.

The main house has five bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms. A double-height living room with a fireplace, a dining area, an eat-in chef’s kitchen and a den are all light-filled through the wall of glass that overlook the backyard. On the lower level, there’s a bar/lounge area, a movie theater and two guest suites.

The pool house has a central living room with a kitchenette and two-bedroom suite. The guest house offers a living room and two suites.

On the grounds, are a heated gunite pool and spa, a pond, a tennis court and several outdoor living areas. Also among the property’s amenities are a two-car garage and green roofs planted with sedum.

According to town property records, the owner was Ekkehart Hassels-Weiler, a German investor who made headlines last year for buying a $43 million Los Angeles spec mansion. The Wall Street Journal reported in January that Mr. Hassels-Weiler had bought four Manhattan condos during the height of the market in the mid-2010s and sold two of them at a loss last year.

Adriel Reboh and Evan Kulman had the Halsey Neck Lane listing for Compass. The sale closed April 29 and the buyer was an anonymous limited liability company.
