A Southampton estate north of the village recently sold for $7.23 million, according to The Real Estate Report Inc., just shy of its $7.26 million last asking price.

At 435 North Sea Mecox Road, the 2-acre property boasts a new home recently completed by Jack Curto Development that overlooks Long Springs Farm.

The twin gable main house has 11,000 square feet of living space across three levels, and the interiors with Curto’s custom millwork have a California modern design by Stacey Gayle Interiors.

Trees line the approach to the front porch, leading into the double-height entry hall with a custom-built steel staircase, according to the listing. The two-story great room with a double-sided gas fireplace has oak ceiling details plus a wall of glass that affords an abundance of natural light

The chef’s kitchen has a waterfall center island and custom cabinetry plus high-end Sub-Zero and Wolf appliances. The living room has a casual dining banquet, and the formal open dining within the great room is served by a wet bar.

A formal study with rift and quartered oak has built-in shelves and views of the rolling hillside.

A junior master suite on the first floor with horse pasture views has a sitting area and a spa bath.

Up the grand staircase is the master suite with a sitting room, a sleeping chamber with a gas fireplace, a private balcony, a spa bath with floating vanities and mixture of stone, and a dressing room. Also on the upstairs level is a junior master suite and three en-suite guest rooms.

The finished lower level offers 3,000 square feet of living space with a media room and wet bar, a game room, a recreational area, a glassed gym, and a spa with sauna, steam shower and half-bath. Two guest rooms are on the lower level with a shared bath.

The grounds feature an 800-square-foot covered bluestone patio with a fireplace; a 20-foot-by-50-foot heated gunite pool with a sun bed and an 8-foot-by-8-foot sunken spa; and an outdoor kitchen and dining area.

The pool house has a wet bar and a full bathroom along with an outdoor shower. A permit is in place for tennis.

Also among the features and amenities are a side entrance mudroom with a half-bath, a pantry and service kitchen, first-floor and second-floor laundry, and a heated three-car garage.

The estate came on the market last fall asking $8 million and was completed this year in June. James Peyton had the listing for Corcoran.

The new owner is Designer Dads Rentals LLC.
