A five-bedroom Sag Harbor Village modern with a pool and a pool house recently sold for $5.5 million.

At 3 Taft Place, the home built in 2017 is 5,700 square feet across three levels, a stone’s through from a private beach and near the Sag Harbor Golf Course and the Linda Gronlund Memorial Nature Preserve.

The custom oversized entry leads to an open floor plan dining area with a fireplace and a wall of glass sliders that lead out to a covered deck. Alternatively, enter through the mudway past a powder room, laundry area and kitchen with a Sub-Zero refrigerator, AGA Mercury stove, and lilac marble island. Rounding out the first floor are an en-suite bedroom and a television room.

A floating staircase leads to the upper level, with three en-suite bedrooms with soaring ceilings, heated floors, and built-in custom closets. The primary bedroom has water views and a private deck.

The fully finished basement has a theater room, a commercial-grade bar area, and an additional bedroom.

A Lutron light system throughout the house controls shades, lights and dimmers.

A detached one-car garage gas a rooftop balcony with 360-degree views of the pool and Sag Harbor Bay. The heated saltwater Gunite pool is 20 feet by 50 feet with a spa.

“3 Taft Place had the most beautiful vista that just felt magical,” shared Randi Ball, the Corcoran agent who represented the sellers. “The oversized first-floor window with the most perfect lounging chairs were strategically placed so the entire experience was magnificent.”

The property went on the market in February 2020 for $5.1 million, according to Zillow, but was taken off the market at the end of summer 2020. It returned to the market in September 2021 with an asking price of $5.75 million, and in February of this year the price was slashed to $5.6 million.

The sellers were Jennifer Proudman and Steven A. Schucker and the new owner is Kriston Kenific, according to The Real Estate Report Inc. The deal closed on April 18.
