Walter M. Pizarro Juela, 39, of East Hampton Town was charged with first-time misdemeanor DWI Friday afternoon by Sag Harbor Village Police. An officer who had been dispatched to investigate a report of a suspicious vehicle parked on Haven Beach said that when he approached the Subaru Outback Pizarro Juela was seated behind the steering wheel, keys in the ignition and engine running. He saw Pizarro Juela consuming what turned out to be, the officer said, an alcoholic beverage. SAG HARBOR VILLAGE — On the night of April 15, Village Police received a complaint of an assault from a woman who was being treated at Stony Brook Southampton Hospital for an injury. The woman stated that she was a resident of an apartment on Main Street, and had gone out onto her porch, when a neighbor in an adjoining building began yelling at her. The two, she said, eventually got into a physical altercation in which she said she was injured. Police then interviewed the man the woman had accused of assaulting her. State lawmakers and Governor Kathy Hochul delivered for residents of the South Fork and Stony Brook University in the state budget formulated last week.
