Donna Sessa and Liz Schroeder of the Westhampton Garden Club were installed in leadership positions at the 98th annual meeting of the Federated Garden Clubs of New York State held at the Hyatt Regency in Hauppauge from May 23 to 25.

Former Westhampton Garden Club President Donna Sessa was installed as state president. She previously served as second district assistant director and district treasurer and most recently as vice president on the state board and as chair of the annual convention and the governance committee. Liz Schroeder, a former vice president and program chair of the Westhampton Garden Club and second district assistant director, youth chairman and corresponding secretary was installed as second district president.

Other Westhampton Garden Club members serving the Federated Garden Clubs of New York State include Christine Tiberg, second district corresponding secretary; and second district board members Joy Flynn, yearbook chair; Lovejoy Duryea, photography and life member chair; and Nancy Irace, floral workshop chair. Donna Levy is liaison with like-minded organizations on the state board.

The Federated Garden Clubs of New York State serves as an educational resource and offers garden club members the opportunity to work together on civic and beautification projects, environmental causes and the conservation of the natural beauty and resources of the state.
