It has not been a downward-dog career path the last few years for yoga gurus Colleen Saidman and Rodney Yee, who are proprietors of Yoga Shanti in Sag Harbor. Things have gone so well that the couple has decided to nama-“stay” in the village, having recently purchased 63 Highview Drive for $3,225,000.

The brand-new, modern-design, 3,400-square-foot residence has 5 bedrooms and 5.5 baths. The first floor features Wolf and Subzero appliances in the kitchen and custom-made cabinets, a dining room, a living room with fireplace, and a junior master suite. The second floor has two en suite bedrooms and a master suite with a balcony. The finished lower level offers a wet bar, fifth bedroom, and a theater. There is a rooftop deck providing views of Noyac Bay, and there is a heated in-ground pool and a pool house. The 0.58-acre property should provide plenty of serenity.

For those unacquainted, Rodney Yee rose to national prominence in the early 1990s via a series of yoga instructional videos. More than 30 have been produced, with international sales in the millions. He has conducted yoga classes on the West Coast, and in more recent years, in the New York metropolitan area, and of course the Hamptons. One of his students was Colleen Saidman, and the two married in 2006.

Ms. Saidman had opened Yoga Shanti in Sag Harbor in 1999, and now has two more locations, in Manhattan and Westhampton Beach. When she was featured in the New York Times in 2013, Saidman was dubbed the “First Lady of Yoga,” and she has also been featured in Vanity Fair, New York Magazine and The Wall Street Journal. Her most recent book, published by Simon and Schuster, is “Yoga For Life: A Journey to Inner Peace and Freedom.” That journey, it appears, will continue indefinitely in Sag Harbor.
