The Inn at East Hampton at 490-492 Montauk Highway has changed hands from one limited liability company to another for $5 million. The inn has been rebranded to Journey East Hampton offering a boutique, luxury hotel experience with 25 units available, said Kitty Ching, the director of e-commerce at Bridgeton Holdings.

The holding company is the owner and operator of the hotel, under East Hampton Motel LLC. Opening last month, Journey is Brighton’s first foothold on the South Fork. The Andrew Hotel in Great Neck, The Roslyn Hotel, and the Crowne Plaza JFK Airport in Queens are other Long Island-based hospitality locations—with many more scattered in major cities across the country—owned by Brighton.

At Journey, the grounds of the inn offer amenities such as serene gardens and a swimming pool. Inside, rooms range from large suites, including one king-sized bed and one queen sleeper sofa in a studio layout leading out to a private chalet and lounge deck poolside, to a standard hotel room with a king-size bed for couples or solo travelers, as well as quaint cottages that offer two queen-size beds and one queen sleeper sofa for larger groups. Madewell clothing, Kassatex linens, and La Colombe coffee, as well as Solé bicycles for easy access to Two Mile Hollow Beach, East Hampton Village and Amagansett, are available.

Ms. Ching said Journey can offer a much better stay than the price of an Airbnb on the East End.

“It’s a prime location—walkable and the beach is just a 15-minute walk away,” she said.

Daniel Gale Sotheby’s International Realty’s Inbar Mitzman, Lisa Ferraro and Dana Forbes handled both sides of a transaction in a private arrangement, using in-house attorneys and without financing.
