Continuing The Work

Continuing The Work

I am running for reelection as an East Hampton Town Trustee in the November 5 general election.

As a Trustee, I have served on multiple committees: Aquaculture, Beaches, Education, Northwest Creek, Accabonac Harbor/Hog Creek, Social Media, Website, and Records. I am also the Trustee liaison to the East Hampton Energy Sustainability and Resiliency Committee, and Accabonac Protection Committee, and am a member of the Suffolk County Single-Use Plastic Task Force. I have participated in a mosquito larvae water sampling of Accabonac Harbor and horseshoe crab monitoring over the last two years.

I saw the harm that latex and Mylar balloons caused to our aviary and marine wildlife and spearheaded the effort to ban the intentional release of balloons, beginning with the Trustees’ unanimous vote, followed by East Hampton Town, Southampton Town, and the Suffolk County Legislature. The proposed legislation for New York State will be introduced by Assemblyman Fred Thiele next year.

I look forward to continuing the good work and projects I have committed to. Giving back to my community was the reason I ran two years ago and continues to be the same reason I once again humbly ask for your support and vote.
