For the last three years, i-tri, a local youth empowerment nonprofit that trains girls to complete a youth distance triathlon, has met at Southampton High School during the month of April to host our annual Mentoring Day.
During this event, we host over 200 middle school-aged girls from 13 different schools across the East End, from Montauk to Mastic, and connect them with women from varied professional backgrounds. We move from the auditorium to classrooms to the gymnasium to the cafeteria throughout the event. It takes months of planning and a huge support staff to execute this experience for our participants. None of this would be possible without the assistance of the team at Southampton High School.
We wish to send our gratitude to the security and custodial staff members who greet us each year with kindness and a willingness to help. The support we receive is unmatched, and we thank you.
